MAIN EVENT

Frank Bumpus introduced FRANCINE FIORE a Linfield Graduate and grant writer for Juliette’s House.  Juliette’s House is a child abuse assessment center.  Julliette’s House was created in 1997 by school counselors, child advocates, pediatricians, mental health professionals, law enforcement, child protective service workers, and other concerned citizens who wanted to create a child-focused facility for compassionate child abuse assessment.  The whole community built Juliette’s House, and the whole community continues to support, maintain and enrich it. Serving Yamhill and Polk Counties in Oregon.

A power point presentation gave statistics and information such as The safe kids (CAP) program. We learned about the medical examination, the forensic interviews and the family support team.  Francine gave us information how we could help such as the 16th Annual Auction on October 16th, 2010 called “Celebrate the Children”.  The Rotary was thanked for all of their support.
