ROTARY'S FOUR WAY TEST
"Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it Build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

Always there with  smiles, Harry Ahn and Russ Rainwater welcomed Rotarians, including Ez Koch (center) to the meeting. Derek Price led the club in an invocation and Carole Benedict got the meeting off to an official start with the Pledge of Allegiance. President Dan Gardner kept things moving along by asking for the introduction of guests.

Jerry Wennstrom, Dallas Rotarian and past Assistant District Governor, was introduced by Ray Fields.

MEMBER RECOGNITION, ANNOUNCEMENTS AND BRAGS

Russ Rainwater led the club through a very quick member recognition, depending on the honor system to net results.

Ray Fields is celebrating his 70th birthday, and asked club members to contribute to the fund he started on his 50th birthday, to provide financial aid to our youth exchange students.

Norm Goss shared with the club that he and his wife are celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary.

Teresa Smith reminded the club that the annual Rose Sale will be on June 6th.

President Dan gave a pitch to help to get three exchange students to Pendleton on Wednesday morning and bring them back on Sunday. Please call Dan if you can help.

MAIN EVENT

President Dan
introduced a very special program, the five-member GSE team from South Korea. Each of the members introduced themselves and gave an overview of their career in Korea. Jae-Hoon Joung then gave a terrific presentation on the history, language and culture of South Korea. Club members asked a variety of terrific questions before the presentation drew to a close.  Next the GSE team presented our club with a flag, and we returned the favor with one of ours. Each member signed a copy of a book to donate to our early reader program.

CLOSING

Before the meeting officially drew to a close, Ray thanked club members for donating to the Youth Exchange Financial Aid Fund. President Dan  then thanked all of the club members who opened their homes to host the GSE team. He then adjourned the meeting

"When meeting day comes around, I do not have to decide whether to attend or not, for that has already been decided for me . . . it was one of the obligations I accepted when I joined Rotary." -- A Rotarianan
