ROTARY'S FOUR WAY TEST
"Of the things we think, say or do:1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it Build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
SOMETHING NEW
Rotarians should be aware of a new scam e-mail claiming that the recipient is a winner of a cash grant. The e-mail claims the recipient’s name was randomly chosen from a database, and the recipient did not enter a contest. The recipient is then asked to contact a fake RI staff member to provide information and claim the grant. The scam e-mail has been sent from numerous e-mail addresses, and the recipient is asked to contact staff in locations outside of the United States.
Rotary International does not solicit funds through e-mail, nor does it ask that personal information be updated by e-mail or other electronic means. RI encourages Rotarians and Rotary clubs to avoid becoming victims of such scams by deleting any e-mail that appears suspicious.http://www.rotary.org/en/Members/RunningAClub/Announcements/Pages/080116_annou_emailscam.aspx
