ROTARY'S FOUR WAY TEST
"Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it Build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

What Paul Harris Said

December 30 2007

"This is a critical year. It is not easy to be optimists while storm clouds obscure the sky. Rotarians are especially sensitive to international disturbances because ties of friendship bind us together, ties which cannot be dissolved by governmental fiat".

Paul P Harris, “We Must Plan For Peace” The Rotarian, Feb 1940

MAIN EVENT

Randy McCreith gave his Vocational talk.  Born in Canada, Randy’s family moved to southern California when he was a child, settling in Burbank.  Randy discovered at an early age that he was a confirmed workaholic, happily working at his first job for the then-princely salary of $1.65/hour.  He and Joani were high school sweethearts, and he happily recalled their first kiss, which occurred at the stroke of midnight at New Year’s, 1973.

Randy attended San Jose State, then brought his new family up to Oregon in early 1980.  Living in various locales, including the Scholls area, Tualatin, and Newberg, he embarked on a remodeling business while splitting time as a church pastor.

Eventually, the family moved to McMinnville, where Randy established a real estate brokerage.  Randy spoke with unbridled optimism about the business, and lauded his colleagues in the industry as being part of formula of success.  He concluded his talk by predicting a healthy future for the real estate industry in Oregon, citing some current adjustments in the business climate as being necessary to the future health of the economy.

"When meeting day comes around, I do not have to decide whether to attend or not, for that has already been decided for me . . . it was one of the obligations I accepted when I joined Rotary." -- A Rotarian
