Main event
Richard Weed introduced our program today. Outbound exchange students Austin Wuellner and Nick Parry are both about to depart on their adventure and gave us an update on their preparations.
Austin Wuellner was first. He is headed for Guatemala. He first expressed deep appreciation to the McMinnville Rotary Club for sponsoring him on this wonderful adventure. He went through a presentation that he will use in Guatemala. It included information about his family. He is best-friends with his two brothers. Austin also described his recent experience of having a stroke. His heart is now repaired and he is living a normal life once again. All preparations have now been completed for his trip beginning in just a few days.
Nick Parry is on his way to Thailand, leaving McMinnville next week. Nick also was very thankful for the support of our club and for making this experience possible. He gave us the presentation he will use in Thailand. It included a description of Oregon, his home, McMinnville, Rotary, and his family and friends. Nick shared that he loves music and sports.
The group asked both students questions about their upcoming trips. Art Bradley and Ray Fields both noted that they were very impressed with both of today’s speakers as well as all 5 exchange students present at the meeting today.

Art then presented many of our Rotarians with Perfect Attendance Certificates. Congratulations to all those recognized!
